Welcome to Megan Reads
… or maybe it’s more of a theory. Either way, we all know that things don’t just fall into place on their own. It takes work to be where and who you want to be- mentally, emotionally, spiritually.
As a social worker, I write to share what might help people take care of themselves and their relationships, manage their mental health, set healthy boundaries, and organize their life in a way that makes sense to them. As a human, I write about things I like, things that make me laugh, and books. Hopefully, everyone can find something here that’s helpful or meaningful.
I live in the Northwest with my husband and adorable dog. I graduated from the University of Washington with my Master’s in Social Work, and work full time with abused kids. My interests include reading, writing, public speaking, community engagement, and counseling. I try to be outdoorsy during the three weeks a year that it doesn’t rain. Otherwise, you’ll find me reading, drawing, designing, or binge watching The Black List.
I work willingly doing social work consultation or writing on social work topics. I don’t do individual therapy, as I am a year away from finishing my licensure. I love to do book reviews (especially for Young Adult Fantasy books) and am open to relevant sponsored posts.
To propose a book for review or another collaboration, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or just fill in the form below.
