C. S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia has always been one of my favorite book series. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is set in a land where a Witch makes sure it’s always winter- “always winter but never Christmas”.
Today, I was walking in the woods with my dog, and I noticed that someone had hung Christmas ornaments around on a few trees. It reminded me of Narnia, when Aslan was coming back and Christmas finally started to come again.
“I’ve come at last. She has kept me out for a long time, but I have got in at last. Aslan is on the move. The Witch’s magic is weakening.” -Father Christmas
“Merry Christmas! Long live the true King!” -Father Christmas
“It seems, then,” said Tirian, smiling himself, “that the stable seen from within and the stable seen from without are two different places.”
“Yes,” said the Lord Digory. “Its inside is bigger than its outside.”
“Yes,” said Queen Lucy. “In our world too, a stable once had something inside it that was bigger than our whole world.” It was the first time she had spoken, and from the thrill in her voice, Tirian now knew why. She was drinking everything in even more deeply than the others. She had been too happy to speak.
